Tasha Hess-Neustadt is a dance artist based between Berlin and Munich, working across performance, choreography, research, and collaboration. Their practice moves between material realities and imagined worlds, exploring relational structures and the environments we shape and live in.
As a performer, Tasha collaborates with choreographers and artists including Armin Hokmi, Colette Sadler, Katharina Senzenberger, Léonard Engel, Sasha Amaya, Simone Mousset, and Livia Rita, among others. Drawing on speculative fiction, their choreographic work attends to how bodies and voices, through their encounters with one another, might transform the conditions they inhabit, and imagine other ways of being together.
Tasha works collectively through Riess Neustadt, a choreographic duo with Fabian Riess, and Riiviöt Collective, together with Eevi Kinnunen. Tasha's work has been presented and supported by venues and festivals across Germany, France, Finland, Sweden, and the UK. They graduated with a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance from London Contemporary Dance School in 2020 and previously trained at The Ailey School in New York.
