This Tomorrow - Riess Neustadt Collective (2026)

The core movement we are exploring in This Tomorrow is an ongoing ever evolving bounce: a rhythmic, cyclical movement that embodies persistence and the tension between weight and lightness. By sustaining this motion, the performers navigate exhaustion, intimacy, and transformation. The bounce becomes a language of endurance, leading to intimate, human encounters. Authenticity emerges through shared recognition, fatigue, joy, and shared presence.
The work stems from the desire to react authentically and in real time to an uncertain world – with dance as a form of agency and resistance. Live decisions and unfolding transformation bring the performers into an inescapable exchange with their environment, the music, and each other. We want to create a space of aliveness, in which collectivity is both the engine for continuation, and reciprocally, duration and continuation intensify the state of interdependence.
